Biography

Robert Osei Anim

was born in Accra, the capital of Ghana in 1983 and started exhibiting his works around the year 2000. He was educated at the Ankle College of Art and Design in Accra and Ghanatta College of art where he was studying in advance painting, He then continue at the king’s university college.

Robert is a Ghanaian freelance fine artist who mostly exhibits his art work in most of the London art shows and Canada. He is proudly member of Ghana Association of Visual Artists. (GAVA), and International Member of National Gallery of Canada with my ID No-141374, also member at east end arts and humanities council, INC. new York and is the founder of East end art gallery, Ghana. He has exhibited across various countries and is often known for his works mostly in a fish round forms, which he describes as ‘an artistic movement.

His artwork takes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues. In his work, he deconstruct the inspiration from things he see around him all the time, fairy tales, nursery rhymes, and lullabies that are part of his childhood and adult culture. He then said he don’t also believe an artist painting or making creation in one area, because what he see today is different from what he see tomorrow, painting must be all way round that makes nature natural. Anim says it is not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.

Each project often consists of multiple works, often in a range of different inspiration, grouped around specific themes and meanings. During painting and production new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of perfect work.

He have also earned several local awards for his unique style. His hope and dreams for the future is to become a world famous artist.
